PARTAGE RISE

WHY DID WE CREATE THE PARTAGE RISE NETWORK?

Created in 1973, the French international solidarity association Partage works in partnership with local civil society organisations in the fields of education, health/nutrition, protection against abuse and community development to ensure the overall development of children and respect for their fundamental rights.

On the occasion of a forum organised by Partage in France in June 2007, the Partage Lamako network was formed, bringing together all of Partage’s partner organisations throughout the world, i.e. 32 organisations from 20 countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Near-East and Europe.

Following a review of its 10 years of existence, Partage and its partners were able to reaffirm their willingness to work as a network, a work that is perfectly in line with the mode and spirit of collaboration between Partage and its local partners: an equitable, sustainable and reciprocal exchange relationship. Networking makes it possible to further strengthen this horizontality sought after in the partnership relationship.

It is in this project to deepen its work that the Partage network has been given a new look: new name and new logo, both proposed and voted by the network members, but above all new objectives.

PARTAGE RISE

OUR MISSIONS AND VALUES

COMPOSITION

The Partage RISE network brings together Partage and all of Partage’s partner organisations. Any new partner of Partage becomes a member of the RISE network. Membership is lost at the end of the partnership with Partage

MISSION

The main mission of the Partage RISE network is to strengthen the capacities of its members to intervene in favour of the defence of children’s rights and the development of children, young people, their families and communities.

PRINCIPLES

The relations between the members of the network are based on dialogue, exchange of knowledge, sharing of experiences, participation, solidarity, respect for each other’s independence and diversity in order to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups, in particular children and adolescents.

OBJECTIVES

  • To contribute to the capacity building of member organisations through the sharing of their knowledge and experience.
  • To capitalise and disseminate the actions of the network and its members as well as their tools and documentary resources.
  • To encourage the organisation of members into regional or thematic consortia to develop common operational or organisational projects.
  • Carrying the values defended by the members by developing and giving a wider audience to advocacy actions in favour of children's rights.
