Bandos Komar - World children's day

Every year on 1st of June , some schools celebrate the International Day of the Child, and the World Day Against Child Labor on12th of June . Bandos Komar also supported the partner schools to organize this event in accordance with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Children and our strategies to promote children’s rights.

This achievement aims to commemorate the devastating events of the fascist massacre of women and children, forced labor and participation in the prevention of violence, the promotion of children’s rights and make parents and authorities understand in the care of children.

Bandos Komar helped the partner school to organize the day for the children, offering snacks to the participants, prizes to the students and materials. The director of the school invited the parents, the committees supporting the school and the local authorities to attend this event.

After the students, teachers, parents, local authorities and education officials came, the organizers invited each speaker to show his or her impression on the right of the children, while the commune chief read a message from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, on the history of fascist violations and the purpose of this day. On this day, the children’s representative showed their impression by expressing the pain of the killing and labor of children, and urging the authorities, the government and all concerned to fully protect and promote their rights.

We asked the students to answer questions related to their rights and play games to make the event more joyful. We gave the prize for the students who answered the questions correctly and those who participated in the games.

The International Children’s Day presents special attention to children, raises awareness and promotes their rights, encourages them to have fun and improve communication between teachers, parents and authorities.
